The following is a list of Domestic Cat breeds currently registrable
by ICBO:
British Short Hair- Pure Breed: British origins, Large head, Large round eyes, varies colors and patterns
Himalayan – Pure Breed: cross between two pure-bred cats, Siamese and Shirazi/Persians
*Iraqi/Kurdish Exotic Short Hair -hybrid: of two pure-bred cats, the Shirazi or Persian and Turkish Short-hair *only born in Iraq or Kurdistan
* *Iraqi/Kurdish Exotic Long-hair - hybrid of two pure-bred cats, the Shirazi/Persian and Turkish Angora *only born in Iraq or Kurdistan*
Khoa Manee- Pure Breed: pure white cat of Thailand decent, short hair, Large body, almond shaped eyes, eye color- *Heterchromia, blue, gold, green
Scottish Fold- Pure Breed: a cross between a Scottish Fold and Scottish Straight or British Short-Hair with folded ears Scottish Fold Longhair- Hybrid or Pure (after 4 generations): cross from the mating of a pure breed Scottish Fold/Scottish Straight and the Shirazi/Persian born in Iraq
Scottish Straight- Pure Breed: a cross between a Scottish Fold and Scottish Straight or British Short-Hair with straight (not folded) ears Persian- Pure Breed: Persian descent, longhair, large head, large round eyes, PEKE-Flat face
Ragdoll-Pure Breed: They are a medium to large, moderately longhair, blue-eyed pointed cats. The point markings may be covered by a range of white overlay patterns
Shirazi Persian- Pure Breed: Persian descent, longhair, large head, large round eyes
Siberian-Pure Breed: Russia’s native forest cat The Siberian is a medium/large, strong triple-coated cat All colors and combinations are accepted with or without white.
Turkish Angora- Pure Breed: pure white cat of Turkish decent, medium-long hair eyes *Heterochromia, Blue, gold, green, almond shaped eyes
Turkish Angora- hybrid: of Turkish decent, medium-long hair, not white, eyes *Heterochromia, Blue, gold, green, almond shaped eyes
Turkish Van- Pure breed : White medium length hair, tradition Van pattern on head, neck and tail
Turkish Van Short to medium -hair- Pure Breed: pure white cat of Turkish decent, short hair version of the Turkish Angora, eye color: Blue, *Heterochromia, almond shaped eyes
Domestic Short-Hair (DSH) or Domestic Long-Hair (DLH) mixed breed pet class
*Heterchromia means odd color eyes, two different color eyes
* Hybrid breed only Recognized in Iraq*
